Barn Rules

Human Safety is FIRST.
Horse Safety is second.
Everything else is third.     John Lyons

  • Please announce yourself before coming into the main barn  area.
  • Hard Hats MUST be worn by all.  Ayone under the age of 18 must wear their helmet  upon entering.
  • Please remember to W A L K.
  • Even if you are excited, please remember to be appear calm.
  • Closed toe shoes must be worn.
  • Boots with a heel are required to ride.
  • If you are wearing open toe shoes (sandals) you may NOT enter.
  • Pants or breeches must be worn.
  • Please tie long hair back in a pony tail or braids.
  • Please leave jewelry at home.
  • Please use quiet voices.
  • Do not enter a stall with a horse or pony in it.
  • Do not approach any horse or pony unless an adult is present.
  • Please do not hit my horses or ponies.
  • Please do not kick my horses or ponies.
  • Please ask questions.
  • Please do as you are asked.  If you don't understand, please comply, then ask.  It could be a matter of safety.
  • Please ask before feeding horses or ponies.
  • Please come to your lesson on time and ready.    
  • Please do not climb on fences or gates.
  • Do not enter lesson area when someone else is riding or otherwise having a lesson.
  • Absolutely NO SMOKING.
