Announcing New Programs!

Pony Pals Riding Club

For kids 7 and under.  The foundation of this program is built through hands on experience and play.  Some benefits include:
  • one hour lessons
  • special classes & events for Pony Pals members only!
  • opportunity to enter a lead line class in a show at Frying Pan Park.
  • field trips
  • make up classes
  • ability to use our pony (no lease required!)
  • Understanding Your Pony Foundation Book Series
  • and more!
The Basic Horsemanship Program has the same features but is geared toward the older student through adults.  They are both 24 weeks in length.

For the more serious student who sees horses remaining in their lives, the Naturally Safe Horsemanship Program offers more training in all areas of horsemanship.  It is a 3 year program divided in 4 levels. Each level consists of  3  twelve week sessions.  All of the benefits of the Basic Program are included, plus:

  • Testing your skills
  • Opportunity to ride at Turner Farm
  • Trail Rides
  • More detailed focus on training
  • and more!
Please see me for more details.  I am excited to share this with everyone!

Mellie
Dear Loretta,

I am excited that warmer weather is here!  Along with spring, some new things have bloomed here at 20/20 Horsemanship.  I have set up some programs, the Basic Horsemanship program, Pony Pals Riding Club and the Naturally Safe Horsemanship Program, (and an Asst. Trainer Program to come) to better suit the needs of my clients.  My students are thriving on the whole horsemanship approach and after a lot of thought I have come up with a complete curriculum. If you just can't get enough of anything horse, then one of these is for you! Read below for more details.

Sincerely,
Loretta Arey

Meet Apollo
Newest herd member

I'd like to introduce Apollo.  He is a 15 yr old grey, Welsh/Thoroughbred, 14.1h and a very fancy mover.  He was a fancy show pony who did not really enjoy his job as a fancy show pony.  He will be much happier in our low key atmosphere. One thing is for sure, he is beautiful!  I see a unicorn every time I look at him.  He also has a canter to die for!

Important Dates

Monday, April 4 is a FFX County school holiday.  I will be teaching that day and have 2 morning openings.  What better way to get in an extra lesson to improve your skills!

I will be closed the entire week of FFX County's spring break:  April 18-24.  April 18 I am taking the test for certification by the American Riding Instructors Assoc. The next day I am flying with my kids to visit with my sister and her family in Massachusetts.
